ZLight warrants, subject to the limitations set forth on the product description that ZLight LED products will be free of defects in material or workmanship for a period as stated on the product specification sheet. Proof of purchase must be presented at the time of the warranty claim. This warranty is applicable to products purchased after July 1, 2019.

The warranty registration must be submitted within 30 days of installation to be valid. The warranted period begins 30 days after proper installation and confirmed receipt of the Warranty Registration Form. This warranty is for the benefit of the original customer who purchases ZLight LED products from an authorized ZLight distributor for commercial sign and lighting installations only. Should any LED module or power supply fail to perform during the warranty period due to defects in components or workmanship, ZLight will replace the defective product that has been returned to ZLight per the Terms and Conditions specified below.

Terms & Conditions

The warranty is valid only when ZLight approved power supplies are used and the LEDs for their intended use and properly installed and wired in accordance with all instructions, building codes, the latest Underwriter Laboratory Standards of Safety National Electric Code and all other safety agencies that are recognized as having applicable safety and electric requirements. Under no circumstance shall Zlight be liable for any incidental or consequential loss or damage whatever arising out of, or in any way related to any defect in or nonperformance of the products. ZLight LED modules or light fixtures are considered to be defective when those LED diodes are not lit up.

Product Replacement

It is ZLight’s mission to provide the highest quality product and workmanship in the industry, but in the event that a ZLight product is found to be defective caused by defects in materials or workmanship, the product will either be repaired or replaced. To submit a warranty claim, the original purchasing company must complete and submit a product warranty claim form to info@zlighttech.com. Zlight reserves the right to request samples and to test the product in question in order to determine the cause of the problem. If the product is found to have failed due to a defect in the material or workmanship, ZLight will replace the product. Replacement product is the sole remedy for failed product and will ship via ground transportation at ZLight’s expense. Requests to expedite any replacement product will be shipped at the expense of the purchasing party, less the ground shipping costs. If the product is found to have failed due to a defect in the material or workmanship and the original purchaser has already purchased new ZLight products to repair a sign or lighting system, then ZLight will reimburse the purchaser for the newly purchased ZLight product.

ZLight reserves the right to use similar, new, repaired, or remanufactured product or parts as part of the Limited Product Warranty process. This Limited Warranty does not cover damage or failure caused in part by improper installation, use, operation, storage, maintenance, acts of God, extreme weather, lightning strikes, power surges, vandalism, general wear or aging, mechanical and power connections, or any circumstances that are not applicable to the reasonable use of the product. A product shall not be considered defective solely as a result of the failure of individual LED components contained in the product to emit light if the number of inoperable components is less than twenty percent (20%) of the total number of LED components in the product.

This Limited Product Warranty is voided by the use of non-approved third-party controls, power supplies or any other manufacturer’s components, or if the product is used outside of its intended applications or for the stated purpose or conditions for which it is designed, as stated in ZLight installation instructions.

Limited Labor Warranty Policy

ZLight provides 5-year Limited Labor Warranty unless otherwise noted in the following schedule, provided the product warranty portion of the claim is legitimate. The Limited Labor Warranty covers up to $500 maximum for LED products per location, regardless of project size or number of units and covers up to $100 maximum for power supplies per location, regardless of project size or number of units.

For replacement/repair service of an alleged defective products, the original purchaser must contact ZLight for a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number and provide ZLight with the original proof of purchase of the product. RMA numbers may be obtained by calling ZLight customer service or emailing info@zlight.com. Once an RMA number is obtained, the alleged defective product shall be returned (at the customer’s expense) directly to ZLight or the location designated by ZLight at the time the RMA is issued. The product must be returned within thirty (30) days of RMA issuance for the RMA to remain valid. All shipping boxes and packing slips must be marked with the valid RMA number. If a solution for the alleged defective product is required immediately, the customer may order (at the customer’s own expense) the replacement product required to solve the immediate issue from a ZLight distributor. If the customer purchases an immediate replacement of a product from ZLight that is found to be defective and covered by this Limited Warranty, ZLight will issue a credit for the replacement product and standard shipping. If the product that is returned with the RMA is found to be a defective product and covered by this Limited Warranty, ZLight will provide the remedy outlined in this Limited Warranty and any replacement product will be provided with standard shipping. If the product that is returned with the RMA is not found to be defective product by ZLight, ZLight will return the product to the customer at the customer’s expense.

ZLight Warranty Statement Warranties are in lieu of any other warranty, expressed or implied, including without limitation. To the extent any implied warranty is required by law, it is limited in duration to the express warranty period in the schedule below. Neither Zlight nor its distributors shall be liable for any incidental, consequential, indirect, special, or punitive damages of any nature, including without limitation, lost revenues or profits, or any other damage whether based in contract, tort, or otherwise.
